The Monge test building at the Landes test ballistic missile flight testing has one of Europe's best radars. The building, which dates from 1990, measures 235 meters long and houses a workforce of over 200. There are four main measurement devices (radar, remote-sensing, optronics and meteo-aerological) plus coordination and control systems. Organization is decentralized, the aim being to ensure the missions of radioelectric analysis and trajectography, chiefly prior to radar pointing and tracking of the objects under test.
