A technical review of the thermal technologies associated with the development and optimization of a space suit system was presented. Two space suit designs, the minimum consumables portable life support system (MPLSS) and the cryogenic oxygen portable life support system (CPLSS) were compared. The advantages of the designs were highlighted in terms of performance and consumable usage.
