The project consisted on the installation of a surface parking structure, on which a photovoltaic grid-connected plant has been integrated. Electric chargers for vehicles have been developed and placed under that cover. These chargers work with the electricity supplied by the PV modules or by the grid, depending on the solar radiation conditions. The excess generated energy can be injected and sold to the distribution network if there is no load in process. The system is also capable of managing a group of electric vehicles with an electronic control method that also permits remote access via modem for analysing the plant's performance. The installation is located in the Parking of the Multiple Uses Building in the city of Valladolid (Spain).
