The Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) has installed a new TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking and Command) system for earth orbiting scientific satellites and deep space spacecraft in the Kagoshima Space Center (KSC). The TT&C system consists of six subsystems, namely the S- and X-band antenna subsystem, S- band transmitting subsystem, S- and X-band receiving subsystem, Baseband subsystem, RARR (Range And Range Rate) subsystem and Station control subsystem. The features of this system are high performance satisfying the completely different requirements from earth orbiting satellites and deep space spacecraft and full-automatic station control using computer-aided operation. NEC has developed five subsystems except the S- and X-band antenna subsystem.
