Nondestructive cross evaluations of iron-based material have been investigated by Ar-laser speckle interferometry for precise deformation detection down to 1 micron range and by magnetic sensors for observations of internal material degradations. The absolute values of local residual stresses were successfully evaluated by observing magnetic noises, independently of the lift-off distance of the pick-up coil to the sample surface or geometry around a sample. The relative degradation at each position was also evaluated by a leakage flux distribution by a GaAs Hall sensor over a sample surface with a high resolution of 0.2 mm for a strain range between 0.1% and 16%.
