Analysis of flight data from the ML-101 experiment on thermal control coatings shows that contamination did not contribute to changes in alphas. The changes were alterations in the materials induced by radiations in the space environment. The flight data from Skylab DO24 follow an analytical equation developed for changes in alphas by increasing film thickness of contaminating films depositing on thermal control coatings.
