Complete information is required before the design of the station can be implemented. This information consists primarily of hourly flows and pressure data. Insuffieicent information is usually the cause of poorly designed stations. Contracts furnish much of the pertinent information such as base pressure and temperature, assumed atmospheric pressure, maximum delivery pressure, price of gas and length of contract; but the remaining information must be acquired by direct contact with the customer. The use of a form listing all the required data with the space for inserting information is recommended. The form should include space for indicating meters, regulators, and other equipment actually selected for the installation.
