The emerging pattern of gas glows from fields in the northern areas of the Tyumen Region to the European part of Russia creates the prerequisites for concentration of gas flows and the development of an energy corridor with installation of several courses of gas pipelines. Flow concentration in a course of 138-184 billion m3/year and flow concentration in an energy corridor of 276 to 368 billion m3/year is effective. This corresponds to 3-4 gas pipelines (1420 mm diameter at 9.8 MPa working pressure) in a course and the uniting of two courses by connecting links. The authors discuss the construction organisation, operating reliability, compressor station reliability, underground storage facilities and the introduction, stage by stage, of the pipeline.
