Pacific Command (PACOM) protects American interests from the west coast of North America to the east coast of Africa, an area covering more than half the surface of the globe. US interests are diverse in this vast region, and forces are both varied and dispersed. Command and control, communications and computers (C4) permit concentration of the precise force mix where needed, when needed.
