The Koyagi Works of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' Nagasaki Dockyard, with an area of 1200000 square meters (300 acres), includes the largest drydock in the world (990 m long by 110 m wide) plus all the ancillary facilities to satisfy world shipping demands for complexes that can provide a full range of services-from research through building and repair. This article discusses the illumination requirements and methods adopted for lighting systems design.
