With increasing government control of prices and the well-published worldwide commodity shortage, it has become apparent that profit growth is becoming steadily more dependent on reduced operating expenditure. In this context, big costs involved in getting goods to distributors or retail outlets are coming under closer scrutiny. This article considers the use of vehicle scheduling packages and their effectiveness in cutting distribution costs.
