Describes the experiment and performance of the fluidic explosive initiator which has shown: its ability to ignite primary explosives in 5 milliseconds; the generated temperatures of 1225 C in less than 25 milliseconds; withstanding hostile environments without adversely affecting the performance of the device; the result in an ignitor approximately 25 mm long by 6 mm in diameter, weighing 10 g.
