An Electromagnetic Compatibility program was implemented on an airborne hospital installed in a C130 aircraft. The hospital installation consisted of modern equipment including surgical, monitoring, neonatal and life sustaining components. The EMC program constituted a complete cycle of design discipline, investigative analysis, equipment testing and final system testing. MIL-STD-461A was used as a basis for equipment interference evaluation. A MIL-STD-6051D type of test program was implemented for the final evaluation of the hospital-aircraft system electromagnetic compatibility.
