Today I want to talk to you about the Air Force being serious about aggressive Reliability and Maintainability (R and M) requirements for our future weapon systems. First, I'll take an operational scenario of deploying a squadron of F-15's to show how operational needs demand R and M improvements to increase our warfighting capability. I'd like to spend some time discussing R and M 2000, the Air Force's effort to improve the combat capability and operational supportability through improved R and M. Then, I'll spend a few minutes talking about how you in the audience can help the operational forces.
