For the purpose to have a clear grasp of dynamic characteristics of maglev vehicle, already known irregularities were deliberately added to guideway and the effect of various irregularities on vehicle dynamics was investigated. Focusing on these tests with a two-car set of MLU 001, this paper presents an outline of the testing and its results, describes analytical models used and compares between computer simulation and test results. In these tests, the vehicle passed over the irregularities with enough clearance. Computer simulation and test results agree reasonably well with each other.
