Advanced Computer Techniques (ACT) is the recognized industry leader in 1750 A support software. This paper discusses ACT's integrated familiy of cross compilers and software tools. These rehostable and retargetable software components are mature products that support the unique aspects and environments in which embedded systems are developed. They have been in production use on critical programs for over 5 years. The compilers are validated at the full language standard language level and includes the MIL-STD extensions. The language translators include ADA, FORTRAN-77, and JOVIAL. The tools include Macro assemblers, Linkers, Simulators, and Debuggers. Versions of these products are hosted on IBM 370 and DEC VAX/VMS systems. MIL-STD SQA, documentation and configuration management techniques have been used during the development and enhancement phases of the products.
