This paper presents the concepts and test results of a single-axis fluidic flight control system demonstrator. This demonstrator has a pilot input handle, a fluidic control circuit with an angular rate sensor for feedback, and a fluidic-input servoactuator. Long fluid transmission lines interconnect the three components as they would be in an aircraft. The hydraulic servoactuator can be driven by inputs from the handle or from the motion of the controller containing the rate sensor and thus illustrates the basic control actions necessary for flight control.
