This paper examines the problem of a translating, rotating sensor flying over terrain containing both moving and stationary vehicles. The technical challenge in this application is first to accurately extract the temporal image data and then to isolate the various causes of the observed frame-to-frame disparities. Accurately extracted and correctly interpreted dynamic scene data can be used for object motion detection, for passive depth measurements, and for adaptive optimization of snapshot algorithms, leading to improved image understanding.
