We present here the description of experiment S58 which performs 4 series of angular measurements every 6.4 minutes. The preliminary analysis of the results achieved during the period extending from the switching on of the experiment (December 11, 1968) to the end of March 1969 has made it possible to set up a map of the flux in the magnetosheath and to obtain an overall view of the interplanetary plasma during the solar maximuv.
