Given the current developments of automated driving, the processes for the commissioning of automated and autonomous vehicles gain importance. The increasing number of sensors for the environment perception and the changing architecture for data processing of the vehicles create new challenges, leading to an adaption of the present commissioning processes of the vehicles. With the rise of autonomous functions, the liability in case of a malfunction shifts to the vehicle manufacturer. Therefore, this paper presents a process for the validation of the extrinsic calibration of the sensors for environment perception in the flow assembly line. Based on the main tasks of automated vehicles, process requirements are defined and a concept is developed. The process is implemented in an assembly line and validated in a cloud computing approach, based on lidar data recorded from a vehicle in a flow assembly line. After a summary of the work an outlook on further research is given.
