Multi-satellite Collaborative Autonomous Mission Planning (MCAMP) in Earth observation domain is a research hotspot and is complex for normal satellite users. Digital satellites, as the equivalent of real satellites, can play a great role in MCAMP research and on-orbit applications. This paper studies the two most important aspects of digital satellite design in MCAMP use case: models and system design, and gives a complete and feasible digital satellite solution. In terms of models, this paper derives the necessary inter-satellite relationship and satellite-earth relationship analysis models from the perspective of celestial sphere and spherical geometry, analyzes the satellite attitude orbit model, the main subsystem model, the target model, etc. in detail, and discusses the modeling methods of these models in real project. In terms of system design, this paper designs the multi-satellite collaborative simulation implementation architecture and a simple model interface standard, which provides a guiding reference for the implementation of digital satellite engineering in the MCAMP scenario. Finally, the proposed architecture and modeling method were applied in the development of digital satellites of a MCAMP constellation, which proved its feasibility.
