Abstract The presented models represent phenomena occurring in waterway subsystems - at fairway intersections and within a fairway. The measures of traffic processes under consideration are the number of vessels waiting to enter a waterway subsystem and delay time of these vessels. The applicability of specific models is discussed along with their usefulness as a function of input intensity of vessel stream flowing into the subsystem.
