The article analyzes a set of aspects related to the improvement of the organization of management in the transport sector in the context of the implementation of a number of federal sectoral programs to digitalize the functioning of modern society and the corresponding socio-economic processes. The use of various means of communication, innovative information and telecommunications technologies, control information systems, computer networks and databases, including to ensure a high level of security of individual citizens and society as a whole, the quality of life, the possibility of effective protection of their interests and legal rights, minimizing all kinds of man-made and social risks, allows us to successfully solve pressing problems, contributes to the achievement of current local and global goals, both in the current period of time and in the future. The authors present and analyze the relevant statistical data on the implementation of the above-mentioned processes, as well as draw conclusions about the existence of a stable correlation between the level of security of the population, ensuring the basic constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, and the intensity of the use of means of obtaining, storing, processing, displaying and synthesizing information, various automated control systems and databases for the implementation of management, including in the transport industry.
