Along with the pace of railway construction in China accelerating, the mileage of railway operation has increased significantly. The safety of train operation will be seriously threatened and even safety accidents will occur when the stability of railway slopes, roadbeds, bridges and tunnels and other infrastructure changes. In order to monitor the railway infrastructure in real time and realize early warning. Based on relevant researches, this paper we propose a early warning method using Beidou based on the Grey Model (GM), and put it to use in the railway Infrastructure monitoring system. We also tested and verified the accuracy and reliability of the model. The results showed that 1) the GM is capable of slope instability forecasting; 2) both slope monitoring points remain stable and no deformation occurs at present. Finally, the improvement directions of the GM in infrastructure monitoring applications are discussed, and the content of the whole paper is summarized.
