After occurrence of a road crash, the on-site investigation is organized by officers to help establishing the responsibilities of the individuals in case of legal procedures and/or to collect data for crash information system. This investigation often involves road lane closure which may cause travelling delays, traffic jams and even expose road crash responders to subsequent crashes. Globally, long investigation crash scenes have negative impact on mobility services, hence negatively impacting countries economies.

Studies have linked the closure duration to different aspects of the crash. Methods and tools have been studied to lower the time spent for on-site crash investigation.

In this paper, we present the architecture of a collaborative collection strategy for road crash data collection. The objective of this system is to lower the time spent to collect data by allowing multiple users to be involved in this process. Different tests have been conducted. The results show the effectiveness of this system.
