In order to reduce the congestion at the intersection and improve the service level of the road, this paper takes the intersection of Nonglin Road and Yuxin South Street in Handan City as the research object, comprehensively analyzes the space factor and time factor of the traffic capacity of this section, and investigates the traffic volume and delay of this section. Based on the data analysis of the traffic problems at the intersection and from the intersection channelization, signal timing and other aspects of the improvement plan, the application of VISSIM simulation and analysis of the improvement plan, so as to improve the level of service of the section. The improvement measures can provide effective reference for solving the increasingly serious congestion situation of urban plane intersections.
