In this paper, aiming at the problems of poor imaging effect and high false alarm rate of traditional Trouble of Moving Freight Car Detection System (TFDS), a 3D detection system for freight car based on point cloud data is proposed. The system uses 3D reconstruction technology, point cloud real-time processing technology and 3D image recognition technology to identify faults, effectively reduces the interference of complex working conditions such as oil pollution on the surface of freight cars, and improves the fault detection rate of the system. The composition of the system and the technical principle of the key technology are briefly described, and the application situation is briefly described.
