In order to evaluate the utilization of inland port shorelines and guide the utilization of port shorelines by classification, the evaluation objectives of inland port shorelines were analyzed, from the rationality and legality of shoreline utilization, shoreline utilization efficiency, shoreline utilization benefit and green and safe development level. An evaluation index system has been established. Considering the actual development of inland river ports and the use of shorelines in China, the traditional TOPSIS model was optimized, and Taicang Port in Jiangsu Province was selected as the empirical research object to evaluate the utilization of port shorelines by classification. The research results show that the shorelines of 4 port enterprises in Taicang Port maintain the status quo, the shorelines of 11 port enterprises can be selectively optimized and improved, and the shorelines of 2 port enterprises need to be transformed or integrated. The research results are of great significance for improving the comprehensive efficiency and benefit of shoreline utilization.
