Nowadays, there are various traffic-related issues as the number of vehicles are increasing rapidly. This increasing traffic gives rise to numerous traffic problems that highly impact the valuable time and lives of the people. The traffic needs to be managed to avoid the road congestion and to save valuable time and lives of people. To resolve the various issues related to traffic on the road, various researchers are providing different solutions depending upon the various scenarios. In this work, the case study of the Berlin city road has been taken and tested in three different scenarios to analyze the condition of traffic in berlin city. The real-time traffic has been implemented using the SUMO (Simulation of Urban Mobility) tool for simulation of traffic on roads including various types of vehicles such as: cars, trucks, public transport including buses, motorcycles and especially pedestrians. Three different scenarios: low, moderate and high traffic have been simulated in real time. The performance comparison has been done for each of the traffic scenario. Finally, using SUMO tool features and adding traffic lights to the simulated path on which traffic flows, the waiting time and traveling time of the travelers have been optimized.
