The lightweight demand of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has promoted the continuous upgrading of its body materials. After light metal materials such as aluminum alloy and titanium alloy, carbon fiber composite material has become the “main force” material of unmanned aerial vehicles. It can be said that the structure design and manufacturing technology of UAVs with carbon composite material become the key technology of UAV development. In this paper, we introduces several applications of carbon composite materials in UAVs as fuselage bearing material, stealth material and energy storage material.
