Abstract Today, international aviation science and technology is developing forward at an unprecedented rate. Aircraft structures tend to large-scale, complex, light-weighted and sophisticated. Meanwhile, service conditions of the mechanical parts and components are getting worse, which greatly increases the possibility of fatigue failure. So the key bearing components need to meet requirements of high load, long life, high reliability, anti-harsh environment and others. At the same time, people will pay more and more attention to improve the reliability and economy of aircraft use, that is, to achieve safety and long life under the premise of meeting the structural strength requirements, which stimulates the rapid development of fatigue research. Anti-fatigue design and manufacturing has become the key issue of the reliability of aircraft structure.
