Abstract This paper describes an effort to develop a realistic and flexible simulation platform that will simulate not only the current or future flight technologies but also the impacts to the whole dynamic airspace network evolution. Serving as a core role for airspace operation, special attention is paid to the flight of aircraft by integrating multiple real-time flight simulation clients into the system, enabling to take human factors into account and improving the degrees of fidelity. A large number of flight simulation clients, air traffic control constraints and meteorological units are connected by a distributed and cluster-type network. In order to meet the extensively requirements for the exploration of intelligent flight and collaborative decision-making research, the design of environment perception functionality for aircraft will be leveraged. Then a test case of 4-Dimensional trajectory is presented. The goal of research is to support the evaluation and promotion of new flight technologies while reducing risk and cost.
