In order to satisfy the requirements of the networking development of high speed railway in China, the train control system shall be suitable for train cross-line-operation, which is interoperability. In this paper, the requirements of the interoperability of CTCS-3 on-board equipment was firstly analyzed in depth, to determine the basic principles and basic methodology for the interoperability test; secondly the testing system and methodology of the interoperability test of CTCS-3 were studied, and the structure and main functions of the test bench for interoperability testing of CTCS-3 on-board equipment was analyzed. Then the development of the interoperability test for operational onboard equipment was researched, the method of test sequences generation and the test schedule was introduced. At last, the test result of the interoperability test for onboard equipment was summarized and analyzed in depth, and the method to manage the test result was given. The research results of this paper can provide guidance for the laboratory interoperability test for the onboard equipment.
