This specification covers a nickel alloy in the form of wire, rod, strip, foil, tape, and powder and a viscous mixture (paste) of the powder in a suitable binder and procured in inch/pound units. AMS4778J is the result of a Five Year Review and update of the specification. It includes the addition of the tape form, updated sizes and tolerances for wire and rod (3.5.1) and sheet, strip and foil (3.5.2) and provides metric equivalents.
