NASA has been involved in the development and maturation of metal additive manufacturing (AM) for spaceflight since the late 2000’s. This presentation will highlight some of the developments in understanding AM processes through material characterization and testing, standards development, and component fabrication to advance the technology for current and future spaceflight missions.
