The harmful effects of space radiation are a major concern for human deep space missions beyond low Earth orbit. This talk will begin with an introduction to space radiation issues and will discuss radiation received as one moves from Earth out into deep space, including aircraft, Lunar and Martian missions and beyond. The talk will conclude with a discussion of possible long-term solutions to the space radiation problem.
