The ATLAST (Advanced Technology for Large Aperture Space Telescopes) effort has presented several design incarnations. Here we will discus the design process in detail and compare the design and performance of the 9.2m segmented, the 8m monolithic on-axis and 8m x 6m off-axis concepts
