The project proposes land acquisition and improvement of a basic utility runway. The runway improvements will decrease any existing aircraft noise problems by shifting traffic patterns to unpopulated areas. The project will not relocate families, alter aesthetic features, or disrupt the community in any significant way. However, approximately 6 acres of land presently used for agriculture will be lost to airport development. There will be no noticeable increase in air pollution resulting from aircraft operations using the new runway. No land from a public park, recreation area, wildlife refuge, or historic site will be involved, nor will wildlife be significantly affected. There is a low probability of water pollution or water table problems.
