The article discusses the design of the Soviet lunar vehicle 'Lunokhod-1'. The Lunokhod has two television systems for solving different problems. There is the slow-scan system and a system which gives a panoramic view of the area as well as pictures of the sky, sun, and earth for providing astro-orientation of the vehicle. A special heat-control system was developed for the vehicle. Passive and active heat-control methods help maintain the required temperature conditions. The power supply of the vehicle consists of a solar and chemical buffer battery. (Author)
