Propellant actuated devices, originally developed for use in conventional aircraft, were subjected to special vibration tests in order to qualify them for use in the Dyna-Soar (X20) Escape System. Four initiators were developed for use in the system and the ejection seat catapult was tested under high g loads to determine safety of the defice if initiated during high down-load conditions.
