The purpose of the project was to develop probability models that will identify convicted drunk drivers who will repeatedly offend and similarly, identify drivers who drink (who may or may not be convicted drunk drivers) and are likely to precipitate a crash when driving while intoxicated. Further, the project identified and tested the effectiveness of innovative countermeasures for preventing or reducing the incidence of driving while intoxicated among convicted drunk drivers.
