There is a proposal to relocate the 105th Tactical Air Support Group (TASG), New York Air National Guard (NY ANG), Westchester County Airports, White Plains, NY to Stewart Airport, Newburgh, NY. The purpose of the proposed action is to enable the unit to function more efficiency. The longer runway at Stewart Airport will allow greater flexibility in choice of missions and activities that can be assigned to the NY ANG. There would be a minimal impact on air and noise quality should the proposal be adopted. Both air and noise impact would be within the air quality and noise contours contained in the FAA 1977 Environmental Impact Statement. The additional demand on the waste water treatment plant would be less than one percent of its design capacity. No significant environment impacts were found in this analysis.
