This volume formulates an error model for analyzing a cooperative engagement cruise missile defense scenario in which a surveillance platform transmits the location of a target to an air interceptor missile only once, just prior to launch. Included in this model is a description of the three relevant inertial navigation systems (aboard the surveillance platform, the launch platform, and the missile), the guidance system of the missile, the surveillance platform radar, and the motion of the target. Detailed equations for each of these components are provided along with numerical values for the error parameters assumed for the various instruments.
