The objective of the Air Force-Airline Industry Collaboration effort was to investigate the viability of options for the Air Force and airlines to collaborate on issues related to their pilot and maintenance workforces by evaluating benefits, costs, and feasibility from the perspectives of the Air Force, the airlines, and individual service members. This report encapsulates the analysis and results from the project. We begin with a context-setting background, then present workforce demographics and potential collaboration options. We conclude with findings and recommendations.
