This report represents a component of data summarization in support of rollover research on-going at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The goal of the summarizations is to understand the vehicle and occupant kinematics pursuant to rollover initiation. Further, pre-crash elements might serve as important input parameters for the rollover crash reconstruction models. Currently, The National Automotive Sampling System (NASS) has been queried for its nationally representative data. The NASS data sets studied to date are the General Estimates System (GES), Crashworthiness Data System (CDS), and National Motor Vehicle Crash Causation Study (NMVCCS). The study of GES and CDS will appear in a subsequent conference paper. The NMVCCS summarization considers the variables and attributes relevant to potential parameter inputs for rollover reconstruction models.
