The study evaluates the present and future role of public transportation as a part of the overall transportation system required for the residents of Stark County, considered in relation to desirable patterns of urban development and to alternative forms of transportation. Bus passengers were surveyed as to socioeconomic characteristics and attitudes, inventories and appraisals of area bus line equipment and facilities were conducted, and major determinants as to mode of urban travel were examined.
