This report documents work done to enhance helicopter fuel consumption modeling in the Federal Aviation Administrations Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT). Fuel consumption and flight performance data ere collected from helicopter flight manuals and from in-service operations. These data were used to develop methods for predicting helicopter fuel consumption as a function of the helicopter flight state. The Primary method developed for this report showed a difference from the glight manual reported fuel consumption of abount 4 per cent in criuse mode for the utilized helicopter weight.
