Nineteen passenger cars were tested to the third version of the proposed harmonized international braking regulation test procedure to evaluate the procedure and to expand the data base to be used in development of harmonized performance requirements. These vehicles were also tested to the FMVSS No. 105 for comparison of test severity and to establish equivalent performance requirements. The vehicles were then tested to a brake distribution/adhesion utilization procedure to refine the technique for possible inclusion in the harmonized procedure. The report presents vehicle performance summaries and graphs, a discussion of results and a critique of the revised procedure.
