The application of boron to replace kerosine, in combination propulsion systems is discussed. The state of the art of boron as propellant is presented, the influence of N2O4-N2H4-N2 or N2O4-N2H4 as propellant addition is discussed and the energy yield in comparison with ramjet propulsion is considered.
