The report describes a system that was developed for use in a test in which the thermally stressed nozzle of a liquid rocket engine would be exposed to nuclear readiation. To accomplish this objective the system developed had to be capable of firing the engine at a simulated 100,000 foot altitude and exposing the chamber throat immediately after firing to a nuclear beam.
